The revolutionary Vauxhall Ampera will be the first electrically driven automobile with zero-emission capability in Europe that’s suitable for everyday driving. With its Voltec electric propulsion system providing lively acceleration and high levels of refinement, the five-door Vauxhall Ampera seats four passengers in comfort, offers a useful boot for their luggage, and features an extended range of more than 300-miles.
The Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst S Edition joins the normally aspirated Bathurst Edition at the top of the Vauxhall family tree, with both cars receiving a raft of technical and cosmetic upgrades over the standard VXR8. Only a limited number of Bathurst Editions will be sold through selected Vauxhall retailers.
Known as the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer, it will be available to UK buyers in the second quarter of 2009 and will feature two new engines – a more powerful turbodiesel and a smaller capacity turbocharged petrol unit – in addition to the five powerplants available from launch in the saloon and hatchback models. An ecoFLEX Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer with competitively low emissions and fuel consumption will also be available in the near future.
9ff Fahrzeugtechnik present the new 9ff Speed9. The Speed9 stands completely in the tradition of the legendary Porsche 356 / 1500S Speedster and the later small series of the Porsche 911 Speedster as well as the Porsche 964 Speedster. The 9ff Speed9 aerodynamics package consists of a front apron, rear apron as well as a beautifully designed sideskirts that underline the sporty optics of the car and optimizes the handling characteristics.
The PIECHA Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate comes with a new aerodynamics package that includes a headlight mask set made of PU-RIM. The front spoiler lip, which in addition is easily mounted on the AMG styling front spoiler. Custom-fit daytime running light elements which are delivered ready to install and can be very easily exchanged for the original grille including fog lamps have been integrated into the AMG styling front apron. For all 6-cylinder models Piecha also offers the possibility to make a conversion to the original C63 AMG exhaust system.
VÄTH Automobiltechnik has unveiled the new tuning program for the Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG. The VATH Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG comes with a VÄTH 6.3 liters 585 HP engine with sensational 690 Nm. The engine has enlarged countersunk channels leading to the cylinder head. Moreover, big intake and exhaust valves as well as a sports camshaft and fitting valve springs have been installed. Furthermore, individual fine tuning of engine electronics was carried out and an exhaust manifold, two high-grade steel catalyst converters and a sport air filter were installed. Special forged pistons guarantee stability at high engine rpm. With the extra power the VATH Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG can reach a maximum speed of 300 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
